Cameron Rose

Beware of the "Cammy" effect. Dogs have a tendency to be called with a "ee" sound at the end of their name. My brother Dave, who is the rightful owner of Cameron, warned us all to never call her "Cammy," lest we forever be damned with eternal tooth decay.

Cameron Rose arrived to her new home tonight – the home she will spend the rest of her life in. Unless, of course, my parents decide to move, but hey – you get the idea. She is extremely peppy and excited, yet strangely quiet. She hasn’t uttered a single yip, bark, or snip ever since she was put under our care. Beagles, who are known for their ear–screeching yelps, should not be as quiet as Cameron is tonight.

Maybe it’s the new atmosphere she is in, or the new faces she is seeing. Whatever it is, I am sure she will be talking soon. At four months old, she is not exactly a baby anymore, especially in doggy years. (Woops, there I go again with the "ee" sound)

She is a delight to have, without a doubt. Many of us are still getting over Dusty, who shared her love with us for 13 years. That is quite a challenge. Cameron certainly helps to ease the pain.

We welcome Cameron Rose with open arms.
