24 hours after The Show... things are a bit more mellow.
iTunes is currently playing it’s random selection from "Matthom’s library," and right now that would The Counting Crows, who are "Accidently In Love."
The Show took place last night at the House of Blues, Chicago.
The lead singer from Tonic took the stage first, and played an entire acoustic set, which wasn’t half bad. I’ve always loved acoustic sets – something about it so pure and "unplanned." He sat in a high stool, smoked a cigarette, drank a beer, and jammed on his electric, and then acoustic guitar. (I thought it seemed strange to be playing an electric guitar, while sitting.)
Collective Soul came on stage around 10:45 PM. Ed Roland, the lead singer, was the last one out.
The show went on until 12:20 AM.
We heard some great old songs, and some solid new ones.
Now... with the cool September air settling over, iTunes just doesn’t provide that same, superb ambiance.
But it still rocks.
