The best news today Feb01 '05
Although the local Fighting Illini have improved to 22–0, the biggest news today (in my mind) is certainly MSN.
If you do a View > Source, you’ll notice a line at the top that looks something like this:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
This is spectacular. MSN is now serious about Web Standards, CSS, and XHTML.
Althought the code needs a major facelift – the intentions are more than good.
When a major site/search engine like MSN supports Web Standards, I feel just a little bit better about the future of the web.
Thanks to Doug and Nate for the notice.
