My Movies blog/Wordpress Apr17 '05
To help ease my development burdens, I’ve decided to use WordPress for my Movies blog.
Many of you know I hand–code my entire blog, and often times it’s a lot of work. When the majority of the world is using WordPress or MovableType, I have kept doing it my way, because I believe I can learn so much more, by doing it the hard way.
Not to mention, I am deeply involved in the next version of this site, and each day I get just a little bit closer. So, in reality, I leave myself no time for future upgrades or development of this version.
That’s why using a CMS that’s already in place, such as WordPress, all I have to do is continue spilling out my thoughts.
I am actually planning on creating dozens of WordPress blogs, for all sorts of various topics, while I keep developing my own blog by hand.
This will allow me the freedom to "blog away," while still enhancing my own development skills.
Dreamhost one–click install
WordPress is already dead simple to install, and Dreamhost has made it even easier.
Through their admin panel, you can install WordPress with a simple click of a button.
All you have to do is supply the database you’d like to use, and you’re set.
Multiple authors
WordPress is also nice, because it allows for multiple authors – so something like a "Family Blog" is a lot easier to get "up and running," which I did recently, as well.
Movies!
So, go... read about the movies I’ve seen...
