Windows Vista a great name Jul22 '05
I’d have to fully agree with Todd on this one... Windows Vista is an amazing name for Microsoft’s next generation operating system.
For the past two years, the name Longhorn has been passed around constantly, and I assumed that whenever Microsoft decided to release their next OS, it would be called that.
I had no problem with the name Longhorn. In fact, I felt pretty indifferent about it. I didn’t overly like, or dislike it. I felt kind of in between.
But Vista... wow. What a name. That is perfect... and as Todd explains, it really fits their marketing perspective, this day in age.
Whereas I felt indifferent about the name Longhorn, I feel elated about the name Vista.
And to think, I don’t even use Windows as my main OS. So, really, it doesn’t effect me that much.
But Vista... mmmm. It’s gotta be good. I just can’t get that name out of my head, now.
