Eye doctor appointment Jan10 '06
I’m going to the eye doctor tomorrow evening, for the first time in many years. In fact, the last time I visited an eye doctor was probably in my "single digits." (If I had to guess, I’d say about 10 years old, or earlier.)
I figure this will be very beneficial, considering how many years I’ve spent staring at a computer.
Fortunately, with the advent of LCD monitors, as opposed to the old CRT monitors - "eye strain" has certainly become less of an issue, but it can still affect people.
I figure it’s best to let a "professional" tell me if I need to be more careful, ie: spend less time in front of the computer.
Hopefully there’s nothing wrong with my eyes, because that would add to the many ailments that can occur when working on a computer - such as wrist injuries, back injuries, and eye strain.
Sheesh. What a tough profession I’m in.
