Mac G4 processor upgrade Mar16 '06
These processor upgrades look really good, considering my Mac is going on five years old, and probably needs a "speed boost."
I’m currently at 867 MHz, which is really slow, and I have been considering purchasing an entirely new Mac, but this upgrade could push that off, for quite some time (considering Macs are in a state of "disarray" now, anyway, with the Intel conversions happening).
For $229, I can get a 1.2 GHz processor, to replace my current one.
Installation is the only issue - but it looks relatively painless. There is only about seven steps, and no additional software/utilities need to be configured. It works straight out of the box.
