Wiki confusion Jun11 '06

I’ve noticed many companies (or groups) have their own Wiki page.

For example, my web host, Dreamhost, has their own Wiki page.

Is this something that they set up, or is this through WikiMedia, or something?

And what do people mean when they say, "I’ll create a Wiki for it"...?

I’m kinda confused.

I’d like to create a Wiki for work, containing all relevent documentation for daily processes.

But I don’t know how to start.
