My Netflix update Jun12 '06

I haven’t given a Netflix update in a while. Here goes...

I am currently on the three-out plan. This, down from the five-out plan, which is down from the seven-out plan, which was up from the five-out plan, which was up from the three-out plan.

Here’s the pattern I’ve taken:

That’s a nice, even pattern, don’t you think?

I’ve been with Netflix two years, this coming July.

I used to rent all movies, but now I rent mainly T.V. series. Out of the three I rent, at a time, I usually designate two for T.V. series, and one for a movie. If I’m feeling extra wild, I’ll rent two movies, and just one T.V. series disc.

I’ve watched more movies (and T.V. series) in my two years at Netflix, than I have in my entire life, before I started Netflix.

I’ve currenly rented and returned 346 discs, through Netflix.

If you consider each disc is shipped to me, and then shipped back to Netflix (at no cost to me) - at a rate of 39 cents one way, and 78 cents round-trip, that’s $269.88 in shipping costs, that Netflix has paid for me. (Of course, I end up paying through my monthly fee, but you get the idea.)
