Google Maps quick reminder: Saved locations Mar01 '07
Here's a quick reminder for Google Maps users.
If you have the Enable auto-saving of locations preference checked, every "map search" is recorded in your history.
It makes sense to visit the "Saved Locations" section every once in a while, to prune your random addresses. I left this unattended for a few months, and upon a recent visit, I was surprised to see dozens of random locations - many of which I'd probably never search for again.
You can manually delete the unwanted addresses, or edit the addresses you'd like to keep.
This comes in handy when returning to Google Maps to find a saved location. It auto-completes your addresses, as you type:
If you prefer using the domain local.google.com - never fear. That domain is an identical mirror to maps.google.com, so your searches for local addresses are saved under the same spot.
