Google now offers it's Desktop software for Mac OS X. Too bad there are many applications that already do the same thing.

How about users of OS X 10.3, that doesn't have Spotlight correct? Then again, I use Google desktop at work on my PC, and pretty much only because Outlook search is poor. Google wants to hang out with OS X users too (and send usage data back home), but I think they will be met with much stronger resistance and savvy.
