What "web 2.0" means (and doesn't mean) to me Apr25 '07

Jeremy mentioned to readers what he thinks "web 2.0" means, specifically in the context of a panel discussion.

"Web 2.0" is certainly not a new phrase, but I realized I have never posted about what "web 2.0" means to me.

So, here's a few things that immediately pop into my head:

What I don't think "web 2.0" is (but others do):

To me, these things are all cosmetic, and are not identifiable "web 2.0" characteristics. They are just the latest trends. They don't apply to the overall, deeper meaning of "web 2.0."
