myFeedz from Adobe Labs Jun19 '07

Adobe myFeeds logo

Adobe has introduced myFeedz, as an Adobe Labs product.

myFeedz is not:

myFeedz is designed to:

myFeedz is a social newspaper because what people talk about matters. But people talk about too many things. myFeedz finds what's important from the sea of information out there and shows you what you need to read. It learns from what you like and helps you keep up with your interests.

With myFeedz, you supply your interests in the form of tags. myFeedz then goes out and find relevant articles associated with your tags. You can subscribe to the myFeedz RSS feed for this "stream" of articles, or if you like the articles you see, you can subscribe to the source RSS feed for specific articles.

I have yet to use this service regularly, so I'm not sure how "selective" the content is. The last thing I want to have is myFeedz "suggest" me web sites that I already subscribe to. Another thing that could be bad is if myFeedz favors the heavily-updated sites like Engadget.

On the other hand, if myFeedz provides me with new and "fresh" content, on a consistent basis, it might be a wise choice to keep around.

Miscellaneous

This is stuff that I want to mention, which didn't fit anywhere else:

Remember, this is Adobe we're talking about.
