Amen! If there's anything I hate more, it's when branding takes over the quality of any broadcast - and even more so these days, in movies. I recently watched Talladega Nights - and usually, I love Will Ferrel, but this to me was just a two hour long advertisement for anyone that wanted to jump on board. The movie was so dumb that that's all I was able to focus on - all the branding. What ever happened to the days when soda cans just said 'cola'? Now it's coca cola, pepsi and whatever other brands elbowed their way into the mix.

You know what I blame it on? Tivo. Yeah. Without Tivo, we'd still be watching commercials and then marketers wouldn't be forced to work their brands into broadcast shows.

I really could go on for a lot longer but I think you get my point!
