Strange white spots on MacBook LCD Dec17 '07

The other day my MacBook's LCD screen was looking strange. I noticed various "white spots," which looked blurry and out of focus. Initially I thought it was my own eyes - perhaps I had been crying too much that day. ;)

Here's an example of what the "white spots" looked like. Watch closely the Applications folder. As I move the mouse, it becomes blurry, then normal. It does this repeatedly as I move the mouse to the same spot.

This was really annoying, having everything look blurry.

Turns out it wasn't my eyes, and despite all of my crying, I still found the effort to bring it into an Apple store to have a genius look at it.

He said it had something to do with zoom? Somehow the zoom was messed up. He proceeded to reset the PRAM, and reboot the MacBook. The problem was resolved.

Just thought I'd post this in case anyone else experiences a similar problem.
