Random email automation humor Sep12 '08
I thought this email wording was funny.
First email, received last week:
This email is to let you know that you have just been invited to our still-new DreamHost PS (Private Servers) and/or our DreamHost PS MySQL service!
Check it out at:
http://www.dreamhostps.com/
And if you're interested, just visit this URL to sign up!
https://panel.dreamhost.com/?tree=vserver.provision
Second email, received today:
Last week we sent you an email inviting you to try our still-new DreamHost PS (Private Servers) and/or our DreamHost PS MySQL service!
It looks like you never checked it out at:
http://www.dreamhostps.com/
Nor did you choose to sign up by visiting:
https://panel.dreamhost.com/?tree=vserver.provision
It has the feel of an automated message, yet is somehow humorous because it almost sounds like a person talking. The URL's add to the humor because all they had to say was something like:
"Last week we sent you an email.... however, it looks like you didn't choose to sign up."
Rather than repeating the URL's twice.
Hey, it's Friday, so I'm a little bit giddy.
