My 31 years on this planet have been spent wishing the Cubs to a World Series, even though my family is chock full of those darned Sox fans.
I cannot be happier with the past decade (regarding baseball) as the Chicago Cubs have become a real serious contender in the National League. They are now a routine fixture in the post season, surpassing both Houston and St. Louis.
So why is it that after every blown post-season I am seeing more and more Cub fans jump ship? This should be a time where the Cubs are increasing their numbers of faithful legionnaires.
Don't get me wrong, I am PISSED and I am going to be in a state of depression until mid-December like I was in '03 and in '07. That however, is just part of the game.
